Structures and Formations of Quartz CrystalsHow to determine the types of Healing Crystals and their Use... My first advice to you when you are learning to choose a Crystal tool is: Let it speak to you... Don't follow the rules of others... Look for the one that suits you... Truly like snowflakes, Quartz crystals are all unique. Marcel Vogel saw that the crystalline structure of a water molecule when it freezes into ice is almost exactly the same as a Quartz crystal structure. This led him to experiment with the healing properties of quartz crystals. He felt that if water were a source of healing, refreshment, cleansing and life then perhaps the Quartz did the same; and he found similar results did occur. Quartz crystals have an atomic pattern like our own double helix DNA; the atoms grow in aligned pairs. Quartz has vibrational molecules of Threes and Sixes which, in the Sacred Geometry - the way all things relate to each other- gives Quartz a creation and beloved energy. All Quartz crystals grow in a six-sided pattern; but the angles of the faces and the individual crystals life as it is created under ground causes there to be endless variations within this structure. Divine Light enters and is separated into the spectrum making all the colors available to us all of the time. Quartz captures Divine Light and magnifies it - much like the soul. In this way it assists our efforts and amplifies our powers of receiving and transmitting. It is a stone full of Mercy and Grace to share. How to Select Quartz Crystals...
When choosing your Quartz Crystals you will first determine if it is pointed on one end - single terminated - or two - double terminated. Healing Light and Energy enters the crystal and are passed through it. These pointed crystals direct energy and focus it through the point. They can be natural crystals or polished smooth. Double Terminated Wands- these crystals push-pull energies and toxins to help balance. Single Terminated Wands - are used to intensely focus your thoughts and declarations. Laser Wand - is a very slim point with a single termination. Use this carefully it has quick piercing action. Once your crystal has been activated it is either pointed to a specific spot, Chakra, or spatial area or touched to it to transmit the charge. The charge is built by rubbing the crystal for several minutes to build up the static electricity while you are thinking very clearly about what you intend to have happen and the consequences of your actions. You will feel the crystal become slightly moist and feel the wave of energy wash back over you when it is ready to be discharged. This takes time and practice.
Keys and Faces... Key: Once you have selected a single or double terminated crystal, examine it closely. Does the shaft have indents... impressions...gouges?
These are known as Key markings, like when a key is made and it is carved with a unique impression that unlocks a particular door, helps to understand the whole story and find answers.
Once you have programmed your crystal, these will help identify each special one to you. When you work with healing and meditation these keys will unlock Mysteries and Wisdom. Faces: Now look at the very tip of the point. How many faces - smooth sides - come to a point? Is it six - three - four? Is one face larger or more clearly defined than the others? You may need to hold it to a good light source or in front of a dark background to see. Sides: Now count the sides of the faces. Use your thumb nail to run along the edge because sometimes a side can be very tiny. Write down all that you find about your Crystals. Look within: Sometimes you will see fractures, mists and veils within the body of the Crystal. These, too, give a unique energy and character to your new friend. When the Light that is captured hits a fracture or plane it will reflect a rainbow and this is excellent for Chakra work. Some people like to have water clear crystals and claim that they direct energy better and more efficiently. I have not found this. The Healer has innate power and the Magick of the Mage works according to the clarity of the soul. ('A healthy mind creates compassion.' Dalai Lama) Again, choose according to your preference. Healing Crystal Formations: Cluster - a mass of connected points. Used to disperse unwanted energies and restore those which are lacking. Generators of energies and a combination of multiple types of points, clusters are a force which acts as a Master Control panel. Barnacle Crystals - These are tiny sparkling crystals which form on and around a larger crystals. They give the piece a purpose of uniting and healing groups and gatherings. Bridge Crystal- Crystals which have grown crossing one another united and merged. This helps to build the Crystal Bridge to restore the connections between the Worlds. Celestial Crystal- Single termination with a cluster at the other end. Used to build communications with Angels and Faer Folk. Channel Crystal- This carries a seven sided face with a 3 sided face directly opposite it. The rest of the faces may vary. Especially good for Divinations. Devic Crystal - carries the mists and veils we spoke of above. Excellent for healing the planet and environmental nature work.
Dow Crystal - Having 3 seven sided faces separated by 3 triangular faces this is a rare find. Powerful for self-sacrifice and service it is named for Jane Dow. Elestial Crystal - carries many natural facets and masses into one point. The crystal to use to help energies of manifesting thoughts. Enhydro Crystals - Captured water bubble or drops of plant oils make this amazing. Holding energies of the unchanging Ethereal bound to nature it helps merge the mind to the higher graces and the emotions to the higher good. Generator Crystal - also called a Merlin Crystal this has six nearly equal sides meeting into one point. Helps you to find yourself. Grounding Crystal - carries an eight sided face - rare - banishes illusions and draws scattered energies down to ground.
Harlequin Crystal - coated with tiny flecks of mineral and crystal (sometimes red hematite) this is a Fire crystal and helps to inspire and motivate. Isis Crystal - carries a five sided face and is named for the Queen of Magick. Helps to draw all abilities together. Record Keeper Crystal - carries little marks, bar codes and triangles formed on the surface of a crystal. Believed to have been programmed with Universal Wisdom. Scepter Crystal - has several points forming together out of a single base mass. Helps to direct and govern your energies and to make us aware of our own regalness and worth. Self Healed Crystal - has been damaged below ground as it formed and then re-grown and healed the wound. Helps have courage in the face of woundedness, to help others and heal ourselves. Step Crystal - formed with rectangles and layers set within layers looking like portals. Used for strategy and deep thinking to overcome obstacles. Tabular Crystal - these are flattened and layered and carry frosted surface. used for research into present and past lives. Time Link Crystal - this is an elongated rectangular face or even a marking. When this face occurs it is helpful as a time traveling link. Twin Crystals - two points on the same shaft or two crystals which have formed embedded in each other. excellent for relationships and to restructure health. Window Crystal - perfect diamond shaped face. shatters illusions and helps to look within self or situations. |
